Safari 5.1.10

II've noticed for some months that javascript seemed borked. I'm also an avid reader of the NY Times. They recently changed their interface, and now I can't stay logged in. I've check on another machine that has a partition with a mirror of mine as well as its own implementation of Safari 5.1.10 on OS 10.6.8 in another partition. The mirror is also borked whereas the own implementation runs well. I have reinstalled my OS recently as well as Safari. Any recommendations for deborking things?
Edit: no changes
