This Zip Kit A340-LATE-ZIP is designed for 2000-later, V6 & V8 applications using Type 3 (valve body casting identification #8935) or Type 4 (valve body casting identification #8938) style valve bodies. Type 3 (Casting ID #8935) Valve Body V8 applications, EPC style throttle control only.
- The A340E is a 4-speed, Electronic Controlled Transmission (hereafter called ECT) developed for use with high-performance engines such as the 7M-GE and 7M-GTE. A lock-up mechanism is built into the torque converter. The A340E transmission is mainly composed of the torque converter, the overdrive (hereafter called OID).
- This focuses on the Jeep AW4 and Toyota A340 series of transmissions. The transmission is a 4spd automatic with 3 electrically controlled solenoids for shifting and torque converter (TC) lock up, there is also a throttle valve (TV) cable that controls internal pressures.
